Advanced fetal Dopplers
Fetal Dopplers are a method of measuring blood flow in babies. Blood flow can be measured within the umbilical cord and within the fetal brain and liver giving information about how well the placenta is working and if the baby is getting enough blood.
Your doctor will decide if this type of ultrasound needs to be performed. These measurements are particularly important if there are concerns about the baby’s growth or wellbeing.
Do I need a full bladder?
No. The baby is now big enough to be seen without a full bladder.
