Dr Kate Martin is a Gynaecologist who specialises in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
Kate is one of the few Adelaide-based surgeons who have completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynaecology through the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy & Surgery (AGES) Society. This allows her to offer patients complex surgery using a laparoscopic (keyhole) approach.
Her areas of interest include:
- Treatment of fibroids – including laparoscopic myomectomy and hysteroscopic resection
- Excision of endometriosis
- Ovarian cysts
- Laparoscopic hysterectomy
- vNOTES hysterectomy
- Operative Hysteroscopy
Kate is actively involved as a leader and teacher in gynaecological surgery. She serves as a Board Member of the AGES Society and is the current Deputy Chair of the RANZCOG SA/NT State Committee. She is an AGES training supervisor in the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network where she holds a Staff Specialist position. Additionally, Kate is the gynaecologist for the statewide gender diversity service, through the Modbury Hospital Gender Clinic.
Kate believes in a patient-centred approach to healthcare and strives to ensure the best outcome for each patient through individualised treatment and shared decision-making.
